On 25 September, the Aljube Museum Resistance and Freedom organises three guided tours where everyone is welcome!

Guided Tour with simultaneous interpretation in Portuguese Sign Language
A guided tour by a guide of the Aljube Museum and a Portuguese Sign Language interpreter makes the memories and stories of the resistance to dictatorship in Portugal accessible to the deaf community.

“Through the streets of April”
The tour “Pelas ruas de Abril”, begins in Largo da Boa Hora, goes on to Largo do Carmo, Largo da Misericórdia and ends in Rua António Maria Cardoso. A route on which we will discover some of the key places and moments of 25th April, covering topics such as dictatorship, censorship, resistance and political prisons until the conquest of freedom.

Aproximate duration: 1 hour
We recommend comfortable footwear.

Monthly guided tours

The Aljube Museum of Resistance and Freedom is a space of memory, of resistance to dictatorship and the fight for freedom. Every month, a visit is made to the long term exhibition, this September.
