The Aljube Museum and Gavidia in Seville

15 March 2019

The Aljube Museum has been in Seville with the men and women who claim the right to the truth and the justice over the victims of Franco’s regime and with whom wants to transform Gavidia’s former political prison into a place of democratic memory. Gavidia cemented many memories of Andalusia: in the center of the square, a memorial recalls the heroic struggle of Luis Daoiz, who was killed in combat on May 2, 1808, on the day that marked the beginning of the War of Independence against the Napoleonic invasion.
