Visit and Debate

29 March 2019

Students from the Hans Blöckler Foundation visited the Aljube Museum and talked, at the end, with Fernando Pereira Marques about the memory of the Dictatorship. Can a certain historical intelligence help us glimpse the future? Perhaps. At least this was what emerged from the repeated questions of these students about what was the portuguese fascism, how the Portuguese lived for so many years with this regime and what forms they now have to understand it in comparison to the enormous diversity of European authoritarianism / totalitarianism between wars.
