#Inthisday July 26, 1943 begins the strike movement that in Lisbon, Almada, Barreiro, Seixal, Amora and other parts of the country will cover, according to the PCP, its organizer, about 50 thousand workers. The main demands have to do with wage increases, greater amounts of essentials, “Peace, bread, freedom and work”.
