60 years of “See Revolt”
The March Dossier of the Month is dedicated to the “See Revolt” planned in the Lisbon Patriarchal See, nearby the Aljube Prison.
Executed by military and civilians, organized mainly by Catholics, with the participation of other sectors of the opposition, the coup should have happened in the night of 11 to March 12th, 1959, but the political police managed to prevent it.
The Aljube Museum shares the remembrance of Jaime Conde, arrested in the Aljube Prison following his participation in the coup.
