Amadeu Ferreira Piedade
Amadeu Ferreira Piedade, an accounting practitioner at the General Administration of the Port of Lisbon, was born on October 19, 1894, in Condeixa-a-Nova.
In September 1937 he was sent by the PSP Command to PVDE, “for inquiries collecting at the 1st squadron”, leaving in freedom three days later and returning, in November 1940, “staying awaiting destiny”. Five days later, he was transferred to the Aljube Prison and, in March 1941, to the northern stronghold of the Caxias Prisoners’ Deposit.
In January 1947, he was delivered to the Miguel Bombarda Psychiatric Asylum, where he died #inthisday May 22 of 1947, he was 53 years old.
